ROSE PROPAGATION
At Kumanday Flowers, we specialize in the cultivation of high-quality flowers through a meticulous propagation process. From soil preparation to the final harvest, each step is carefully designed to ensure healthy growth and vibrant blooms. Our process includes rooting, grafting, transplanting, and ongoing crop management to nurture each plant from start to finish. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, we combine traditional methods with modern techniques to produce flowers that are not only beautiful but also grown with care for the environment and our customers.

CULTIVATION OF ROSES

Flower Propagation Process:

Rooting: Selected cuttings or seeds are placed in a suitable substrate, such as a mix of peat and perlite, to encourage root growth. Rooting hormones may be used to increase success rates. Maintaining proper moisture and temperature is key to developing strong, healthy roots.
Grafting: Grafting involves joining a part of one plant (the scion) to another plant (the rootstock) to grow together. This technique allows combining the best traits of both plants, such as disease resistance or vigorous growth. The grafting process requires careful attention to ensure the parts fuse successfully.
Field Transplanting: Once rooting or grafting is successful, the plants are moved to the field. Care is taken to ensure the roots remain intact during transplanting. The well-prepared soil helps the plants to continue growing properly.
Crop Management: Ongoing care involves monitoring water, light, and nutrients. Regular pest and disease control is essential, and pruning encourages stronger growth and higher flower yields.
Flowering: As plants mature, the flowering phase begins. Environmental control (light, temperature, humidity) ensures uniform and high-quality flowering. Water and fertilizer management is adjusted to optimize results.
Harvesting: When the flowers reach peak maturity, they are harvested carefully to preserve quality. Post-harvest, the flowers are prepared for transport or storage depending on market needs.
